Maybelline SuperStay 24 VoxBox Review

I received the Maybelline SuperStay 24 VoxBox from Influenster this month with 2 colors from Maybelline to try.
This new line is called the Maybelline SuperStay 24 Longwear Lipcolor. The line has 30 shades in the range with product  claims that their microflex technology keeps the product fresh, not allowing it to cake, flake, fade, or crack under pressure. The line also claims that the lipcolor will last for 200 bites, 120 sips, and countless kisses.

I received the colors, Keep Up the Flame and Constant Toast. The lipcolor comes in dual ended packaging. One side holds the lipcolor and has a doe foot applicator while the other side has a twist up lip balm.

The lipcolor consistency is light, smooth, and has a very light fragrance. I found the pigmentation was more opaque with Keep Up the Flame while Constant Toast was more sheer. Both lipcolors upon initial application were sticky, but after allowing a few minutes to dry down, the stickiness dissipates. The lip balm does help to brighten up the lipcolor, giving a nice sheen, and definiely locks in moisture for a longer wear.

I have to say in general I'm pretty skeptical when reading product claims, especially like the claims for long wearing, non-transferring lip products, but these pleasantly surprised me. I did a wear test and wore the lipcolor on the back of my hand overnight to test the longevity.  The lipcolors withstood many hand washes and a shower! I can happily report that they did live up to the product claims. The lipclors were definitely kissproof and didn't transfer. Actually, I had to use makeup wipes to remove the lipcolor.

The color in Keep Up the Flame was a beautiful, bold, blue toned red. I can appreciate a color like this that is universal and can be used for people of any skintone.

Here is a pic of Keep Up the Flame on my lips!

Although I liked the other color, Constant Toast, it was a bit light for my taste.  I wouldn't recommend this color for deeper skintones unless you like a very nude, pink toned color. Although, I think it would wear nicely over a darker lipcolor to lighten it and add a nice sheen.

Overall, I definitely would recommend these lippies and plan to purchase some of the other colors in the range as well to add to my collection.
